Hello, AltArtLI.Com members, welcome to another installment of Rant!, the offical monthly newsletter of Alternative Arts of Long Island.
We would like to welcome all of our new members and thank everyone for their support.
We would like to dedicate this month's newsletter to all of our members.
When we started Alternative Arts of Long Island, we did not anticipate how fast everything would come together.
The past six months has been incredible, and a great deal of that is because of you, the members of Alternative Arts of Long Island.
We are proud of what Alternative Arts of Long Island has become, and now we are ready to take some big steps towards our future with our members.

Recently, we have been receiving suggestions from some of our members.
We are encouraged by this and ask all of our members to make Alternative Arts of Long Island theirs.
Get involved in the growth and direction of Alternative Arts by sending us your suggestions and ideas.
Let us know what we can do for you and how you feel that we can improve.

Keep an eye on the message boards.
Generally we have an official meeting once a week in which new ideas frequently come up, in the future we may post some of these ideas to get your feedback.
We also would like to encourage everyone to get more involved in the message boards.
We read them everyday and we want to know what you have to contribute.

If members are interested in helping, we always need people to help get the word out about us, and we always could use help finding artists, events and businesses.
Contact us and let us know what else is out there.
Once again, we would like to thank all of our members for their support over the past six months.
Now we are asking our members to help us create the most authentic artistic outlet on Long Island by taking an active role in AltArtLI.Com.

We would like to welcome Mara F. Szalajda to the Gallery.
Mara's work consists of hand painted geometric designs and patterns that you would swear were generated by a computer, combined with a feeling of energy, which results in work that is quite impressive.
Using ancient ideals in regards to shape and design, Mara has created a beautiful body of work that offers a clean ambient quality.

We are proud to announce that after a brief vacation to, lets just call it a facility, Ted is back and is eager to give back to society by answering the questions sent in to Alternative Arts of Long Island.
