Hello, AltArtLI.Com members, welcome to another installment of Rant!, the offical monthly newsletter of Alternative Arts of Long Island.

Alternative Arts of Long Island is proud to welcome photographer/sculptor Jack Roman to the site.
When we first came across Jack Roman's photography, the feeling of his work blew us away.
Jack Roman takes great joy in documenting moments with his camera, telling stories and using images to convey emotion.
Whether it's photographing an event, taking portraits, or shooting images to better sell a service, product, or company, Jack is there with his camera, enjoying the interactions with others while capturing and creating.

Along with photography, Jack Roman is also showing some amazing sculpture on the site that is well worth checking out.
Jack incorporates light into art to express the light and dark energy in his own personality.
All of Jack Roman's work is phenomenal and speaks for it's self.

Tord and I are in the middle of our weekly meeting and the idea of doing interviews with the artists and posting them on the site came up. We think it is a good idea, but we would like to get feedback on this.
Also, we are in the middle of making changes to the site. Now would be the time to let us know what you would like to see on the site. If you have any ideas or opinions, let us know.

ATT ALL ARTISTS - THE ROSE AND SAGE CAFE IN HUNTINGTON NEEDS YOU!
The Rose and Sage Cafe is a new cafe that opened up in Huntington. The owners, Rich and Patty League, are committed to using their cafe to help out local artists get exposure - they have a nice space in a busy area - and they are looking for artists and musicians to show their work. The Music Studio:
DRUM CIRCLE @ THE ROSE & SAGE CAFE
The Rose & Sage Cafe will be having a drum circle this Friday (02/24/06) between 7:30 pm - 10:30 pm. They are requesting a $10.00 donation, but it is worth it.
The Rose and Sage Cafe is located at 1842 E. Jericho Tpke. Huntington N.Y. 11743. For Directions and information on other events, give them a call at 631.462.4620.
The Rose & Sage Cafe is a pretty cool place to check out and the owners, Rich & Patty are very nice. Please help support this business.
