xposure, feedback, and freedom are just a few benefits that an artist can expect to receive by submitting their work to www.altartli.com.
his is the forum where you the artist can receive the most exposure. One of the key components to our business is our web site, but what makes our site different than other sites is our commercial advertising section of which cross promotion is a big part. What this means to you is that several businesses will be pushing to get the web site seen, ultimately getting you more exposure.
ur site is designed to be an interactive site. We have incorporated message boards, memberships, and talent voting on our site. Other artists, our members, and guests of the site will be able to let you know what they think of your work.
nce you have been selected to show your work on our site, it is up to you to decide what you want to show and how you want it to be shown. In the near future, we will be offering distribution options, collaborative shows, and other events, but that is your choice to take advantage of these opportunities. You have the freedom to handle your own distribution and make your own decisions on your work—the way it should be.
eing that our main purpose is to support local artists, we offer our basic package to artists free of charge.
our work can be submitted electronically by sending your work to artists@altartli.com, or contact us at (631) 428-7876.
s part of the site's mission, we only accept submissions from people who currently live or at least came from Long Island. In order to be accepted, the work has to be within the spirit of the site. Content for mature audiences only is acceptable as well.
f you think you qualify and have something to add, please fill out the artist submission form. There's also a handy reference sheet for useful contact information. Once we review your submission and it's accepted we'll get back in touch with you to finalize the submission process: confirm the samples to be hosted, finalize the layout of your page, etc.
f you have any questions, please email us at artists@altartli.com. If you're concerned about copyright issues, there is a wealth of information and other resources at www.copyright.gov.
